Pack The Park

Last night me and my son's went to Runyon Field for Colorado State University-Pueblo's annual Pack The Park. Each year CSU-P attempt to break their own Division II attendance record. They offer a baseball clinic before the game which Isaiah participated in. Dylan spent the time playing on the jungle gym. I usually don't get the time to attend too many CSU-P baseball games but being an alum I do try to make them when I can. Here are a few pictures from the day. One of Isaiah during the camp and a couple of us in the stands watching the baseball game. CSU-p won the game 5 to 3 over Colorado School of Mines.

1 Million Dollars

If anyone is interested in winning a million dollars for the charity of their chose check out Curt Schilling's Blog. Curt Schilling is a picture for the Boston Red Sox who had ankle surgery during the World Series a few years ago. The big issue is during a game his ankle was bleeding and everyone took notice. He pitched the Red Sox's to victory. This past week a TV announcer said during a game that it was paint not blood on Schilling's sock. Curt,his teammates, doctors and coaching staff have stated it was blood. Curt has offered that if anyone proves other wise he'll give them 1 million dollars. Of course if your wrong you'll have to give him 1 million dollars and he'll give it to a charity. It's kind of funny that the season just started and for the past week all they are talking about is a sock with some blood on it from a few years ago. By the way the sock is in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Real Wedding Crashers

NBC has a new show this Monday about weddings gone bad. It's called The Real Wedding Crashers. The bride and groom on in on the pranks but the guest are not. It's kind of like Punk'd which is on MTV. If you get a chance take a look. Usually when I photograph weddings I try to imaging the worse case scenario so I'm prepared.

Today is the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball. MLB will be honoring Mr. Robinson in every game played today. Majority of the baseball players and teams will be wearing the number 42. 42 is the number Mr. Robinson wore during his playing days and is currently retired throughout baseball. It may get a little confusing when two teams who are playing each other all have the same number. I think it's going to be great to see Mr. Robinson's memory in every ball park. For those wanting to learn more about the man and how tough his accomplishment was take a look at this website about Mr. Robinson.
With a week of the Imus scandal showing everyone how words can hurt others, today is a day that shows everyone, people can over come hatred and ignorance.

Opening Day!!!!

Today is the opening day for baseball. I am a big Colorado Rockies fan and every year at this time it's exciting because they are in first place. They may only remain there for one day but it's still exciting. I hope they can put together a good season and make the playoffs. I may be getting ahead of myself. The Rockies play this after noon against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Recently I have been making it a point to shoot for myself. When I do this it helps with the creative juices and I do believe it helps when I'm doing a wedding or portraits.
