Hottest wedding ever.

This was a wedding I shot this past summer and it was very hot...literally. It was an outside ceremony at 2:00 pm in July. The temperature was 105 that day. All heat aside this was a very fun wedding and everyone had a great time. It got a little easier once we moved inside into cooler conditions. Of course the dancing heated the night up.  :)

Weddings are celebrations of unity and are fun for the adults involved. But I always enjoy the fun children have at the reception. The dance floor becomes a very cool playground with good music and colorful lights. And that's where this young man comes in. He had a lot of energy and enjoyed dancing to every song played. A full night of dancing I'm sure he had a good nights sleep.

Gonzales Photography: Bridal Session

Here is a short video from a bridal session I did. I have a lot more video from this session and plan to post more showing different locations. Off camera flash was used for majority of the images. No light modifier was used on the flash. Off camera flash allowed me to set my exposure to keep the sky dark. And with the flash I was able to bump up the exposure on my subject. By doing this I have a dark cloudy sky along with a visible bride. Without the flash the bride would have been underexposed (dark) and we would not been able to see her. I did do some images without the flash and had to expose for the bride which left the sky washed out (lighter).

Textured Images

I don't think I have ever posted a picture that I have added texture to on the website, blog, Facebook or Twitter.  But I usually add texture to a few pictures that I think look better with them and add them to the clients proofs for viewing.  Since they are proofs if the client doesn't like them they don't have to order them and it cost them nothing.  It's just a different looking picture.  Recently I have received great response from my clients and noticed that they have been ordering more textured images.
I was having a conversation with a bride-to-be who wanted me to know that she had seen some of my textured images and made it clear that she expects to have a lot of her images edited this was.  That's not a problem at all.
Here is a image I pulled off my Facebook page and added texture to it.  Same picture, different look.  The texture is old dry paint.

Let me know what you think.

Gonzales Photography: Weddings

REAL MOMENTS...Getting ready with your bridesmaids.  Getting your hair and makeup done.  Joking around with the guys.  Making sure you look good in your tux.  Receiving that last minute text from your soon-to-be husband telling you how excited he is and how much he loves you.  Your father giving you away.  Placing the ring on a finger.  The kiss that seals the deal.  Walking hand and hand together.  Spending alone time as a married couple.  Cutting the cake.

REAL EMOTIONS...Being nervous and excited before the ceremony.  The look on the grooms face as you walk down the aisle.  Parents watching their children get married.  The excitement of being pronounced husband and wife.  The calm feeling you get once the ceremony is over and all that is left to do is party.  Celebrating with your friends and family.  Dancing for the first time as husband and wife.

All the MOMENTS and EMOTIONS of your day tell YOUR STORY!  And YOUR STORY is what I capture for you to share, relive, cherish and reminisce for the rest of your life.

REAL MOMENTS.  REAL EMOTIONS. YOUR STORY!

Bridal Session

Here are some images from a recent bridal session.  I wanted to have a different look to the pictures then the same type of pictures done in a park, etc..  So we decided to try a few different out of the way places.

Love the colorful wall.

A bride in a wedding dress in an alley.  That's different.

.... a stairwell

And finally the top of a parking garage.
