Christmas 2008

Here is a quick slide show of my boys opening up some of their gifts. They were both very sleepy. That is very different from when I was a kid. I would be up by 5 am ready to go on Christmas morning. Also when you dad is a photographer you just can't open gifts. You get a room full of strobes firing off with every picture. There was some planning that went into the lighting. The night before I set up the lights. Anyway just a fun slide show.

Happy Holidays

I just wanted to wish my family, friends, past clients, current clients and future clients a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. 2008 was a busy year and 2009 is starting to shape up to be just as busy. I look forward to 2009 and the weddings, e-Sessions, senior session, etc.. that I'll be shooting and of course the people I'll be meeting.

I hope everyone is safe and able to be with family. Also hope your done shopping. I completed mine yesterday and the wrapping is done.

R.T.O.S.

Like the title? 'Random Thoughts on Sunday' will now be titled R.T.O.S. I don't know if I'm being more productive of just lazy. Either way that's the way it is.
"That's the way it is" is a saying that always gets me. The other one is "it is what it is". Every time I hear either saying it just gets my attention. To much time? Maybe. This is the slow time of year.

The Broncos!!! What the hell is their problem. Win one of two games and your in the playoffs. I think the team just doesn't want to succeed or they like to choke.

Three more shopping days until Christmas. I hope tomorrow I will be done with my shopping.

Sports Photography

This is a great video. It's a bunch of still images put together but it looks like a video. The photographer is David Bergman. He is a great spots photographer who shoots for Sports Illustrated. I'm a big fan of his work and his blog is a good place for getting shooting tips. Now I know I don't shoot sports but I can correlate the football game like a wedding. Anticipating the next moment, ready for anything. Getting that moment of real emotion that tells the story. The video uses 1304 pictures shot at the 2008 SEC Championship Game between Florida and Alabama. Florida won.

Random Thoughts on Sunday

I didn't post last Sunday. I've been ill lately (cold). But now I'm starting to feel better. People tell me "it's going around" what ever IT is.

Anyway. The Broncos...don't know what to say. Sad.

Lighter note. Did you watch the Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale last night. There were some good fights. Efrain Escudero was the 155lb winner and Ryan Bader was the 205lb winner. Bader what a name. It's pronounced like Vader (Darth Vader) but with a "B".

Today was the first time this fall that I had to shovel snow. Sure do miss the warm days.

Bob won Survivor. Bob's a nice guy. Corrine is mean.

And only 10 shopping days until Christmas.
