Recently I had my car in the shop to get my brakes worked on. The shop is locally owned. After some asking around for a place that would do good work and not try and ripe me off I heard great things about this shop. The owners were very friendly and explained everything that was to be done to my car. This made me feel better that the work was necessary to fix my brakes. My car's brakes are no longer making noise and I feel a lot safer knowing the brakes will work. After getting my car back from the shop I decided to clean out the inside. I started with the glove compartment. That's when I found a little pamphlet about God and the government. I wondered how long that had been in their but I couldn't remember ever getting the pamphlet. But I know I hadn't cleaned out the glove compartment in a long time so I just keep cleaning. When I got to the little storage place on the door I found another pamphlet. At this point I knew someone put this in there recently. The only things that have ever been in there have been my mileage list and a pen. I'm pretty sure someone at the shop placed these pamphlets in my car when it was being worked on.
I respect people's beliefs and faith but I really do not like when they attempt to push their beliefs on me. I'm use to finding these pamphlets on my door, windshield, etc... And I'm use to people coming to my door telling me about Jesus. I usually tell them I'm not interested and kindling close the door.
But this is different. our cars are very personal to us and knowing someone decided to put things in there without me knowing is kind of creepy. If my brakes need attention in the future I probably go back to the same place. I have a warranty with them:) But don't preach to me about how I need Jesus in my life. Jesus is in my life I just don't attend their church.
I just thank God my brakes work.
