I have never had to experience an unhappy bride, groom or family (fingers crossed) and hope I never will. Never had a Groomzilla like this.
I make sure I have covered everything with the couple so they know what to expect and know what they are receiving. That's why I think it's so important when I meet a couple I need to determine if we will be a good fit. Yes I also am picking you. I want to be able to work with you. Usually if I don't think we are a good match I will refer the couple to another photographer who may match their needs better. More on that in a later post.
I just wanted to post this story as a reminder for myself and other wedding photographers to make sure your couples know what they are getting and what to expect. Shooting weddings is not for the faint of heart.

Bridezilla
I have been very lucky and haven't had to deal with a Bridezilla. Hopefully I never have to in the future. I understand that you have spent months planning the perfect day and you want everything to be perfect. The day can be very stressful for the bride-to-be but remember everything doesn't go as planned. You will remember your wedding day the rest of your life so don't you want to have good memories? Remember it's your day, your day to have fun, your day to be joined with the "one" you love, your day to start you new life, your day to cry (with joy) and your day to laugh. When things don't go the way they should roll with it and I promise you'll have a great day. Here are some tips to prevent from becoming Bridezilla.

Any couples out there wanting to get married on national television? If so go to The Today Show's website and fill out the form. This is their yearly contest. O' one more thing if you win the wedding is paid for by the Today Show. And Martha Stewart will be taking care of some details. Good Luck.
